Established in the late 80's, ugm is the trading name for UGM Magenta Limited and traditionally supported Insurance Broking Professionals nationwide, by providing them with specialist non-standard property insurance and travel insurance products. We continue to do this but going forward into 2012 we will begin to trade as inet3. New name same people.

ugm was established with a commitment to find good cover where others failed on non-standard risks which had a specialist requirement. Using traditional methods of relationship building with restricted access to technology, we built a loyal and trusted broker base whilst pleasing underwriters with the responsible approach to writing risks. These relationships with underwriters are the lynchpin in continuing to offer solutions where others cannot. We value this and respect it ensuring your access in the long term to our great insurance products.

We value our reputation and seek to build on it as we increase our cover, support it through technology and develop new and entrepreneurial relationships with new members, who can see that the non-standard risk placement process is a great opportunity to build a stronger relationship with their client.

Risk Transfer

Risk Transfer is given on all our Terms of Business Agreements (TOBA). It states "The Intermediary is authorised to, and shall, collect Premiums and Insurance Premium Tax (IPT) from the Insured on behalf of Underwriters." The effect of this is that as soon as an intermediary receives premium from a client, it is the Underwriters' money and not the client's. Furthermore we accept co-mingling of such monies with those of the clients and other underwriters. We also subordinate claims on such monies to those of the insured. We have no claim on any interest accruing to an intermediary arising out of the holding of such monies. This brief statement is for guidance only. The definitive position is set out in our TOBA.
